If you had this HU what speakers would you put in???
I'm not an expert in electronics...I have this HU in my car and BOSE speakers...since the speakers are amped they are very loud but not as clear as they used to be on the BOSE hu.....what speakers would you suggest I should get to make this sound NICE....

Check out Boston Acoustics rally components and FX series coax. They always sounded better than the Eclipse on the sound board, and in the cars. But you have to decide, everyone hears differently.

It all depends on what you like, and what sounds good to you. I had a pair of Eclipse 6.5 PointSource speakers for the rear doors, and I couldnt hear them over the sub, plus they were muffled by the seats. O yea, one of them blew too. You might check out some speakers that have the option of aiming the tweeters and being more directional.

I'm running 5.25 components in the front and 6 x 9 3 ways in the back with 5 channel eclipse amp 960w. THey sound very clean and good bass without subs rite now. If u wana go with eclipse, contact DON since ur li ve in NJ. He will give u a great deal. I got it from him also. His sn is MyPearlTPI, email is MyPearlTPI@aol.com. Hes on the org also.

Well first of all I must tell you that 50x4 means nothing.That is the max output of the radio which you will never see.The actual continuous output of that radio is probably around 22-25 watts RMS.You should therefore get a speaker that matches that kind of output unless of course you're planning on adding an amp to hook to those speakers then you wont be using the output from the radio.Hope this helps.

so if i just get speakers without an amp then it would pretty much stink right?
i think that this is sounding to be a little expensive. . .i think i'll stick with my Bose speakers for now and put my money into something else first.

Bose doesn't work well with aftermarket hu or speakers. Ur hu right now probably pushing more power then the stock Bose hu. So probably u could hear distortion when u turn the speakers up. For the best, just replace the bose speakers as well. Since ur already replaced ur hu. Just my thought

im running Jensen 6.5 3ways and jensen tweeters in the front with the 6.5's on a 200watt MTX 2-channel amp and the tweeters are hooked up to the pioneer deck. no rears and the sound is awesome even with 2 12" MTX Thunder 6000's the high's are never unheard as a matter of fact I like it better than having speakers in the rear. it sounds just like I'm at a concert. even with my windows up I can be stand at the door of my house with my car parked on the curve and hear every word of the song just as if I was in the car and still have awesome bass.
