My subs face toward the trunk's rear(where the MAXIMA emblem goes.) I noticed some people turn their subs upward. Has anyone turn their subs downward? I just want to know how you guys prefer to place your subs. I might try to turn my subs facing upward. Even with my dynamat installed, with my subs currently facing towards the rear end, I still get rattles from the rear end. I'm going to try to turn my subs upward and see if that eliminate or at least lessen those rattles. And hopefully, the sound quality will be better.

what enclosure type do you have? if its ported then It probably wont sound right when the ports are facing the top cause they are firing into the rear deck and will probably rattle. usually its best to face everything back weather its ported bandpadd or sealed.

thats because the soundwaves comming from the sub can resonate more in the trunk..

but i face mine towards the inside of the cabina nd seal the sub off from the cabbin and the trunk. cleaner, tighter bass IMO I've tried both.. dpends how u like it.

My best advise on this topic is to try it out for yourself and see which is better for your tastes.

Personally I've had subs in my Max facing up, corner loaded, facing back facing forward etc. To me it sounds better facing up, though I don't have any rear speakers installed in the deck. Plus the wife can't poke a hole through my $500 sub when it's facing up..

That's funny and scarry at the same time.
I would die if anyone put a hole in my sub.
I still plan on getting a whole new setup after the Tax return. But it would be painfull if this one was damaged it has served me well.
