Fuse Blew and now alt. noise is back. . . Any ideas
I was driving listening to music at a fairly loud level when the inline fuse on my PPI PC4400 amp blew, well I think it blew as it looked intact but when I replaced it the amp came back on, agter it was replaced, the is now a ton of alternator noise from all speakers at all times, it being most noticable when the car is stationary. I checked the grounds and RCA's but find nothing different. . . Could something have happened to the amp to cause this sort of thing? Thanks for any help.
I know it was a fuse as when I put the power cable from the other amp to the dead one, it turned right on. . . So the only thing it could have been was a fuse, which when I replaced it, it turned right back on. . .
The RCA's run down the center of the car, and I didn't have any sort of noise before this happened, but I think I have isolated that it has something to do with the EQ. . . When it is on there is noise, when it is off there is none. . . I have checked the ground, and actualkly regrounded it, and I am having no luck, any suggestions?
