Extreme system in the works. Recommend an amp!

Setting up 2 Volfenhag 15's running @ 1200 watts max a peice. This system is gonna hit really hard. The subs are dual voice coil. Do a google search if you want more info. Anyways they are gonna push 600W RMS and i need an amp that can push these babies to their max! anyone recommend an amp that can do this?

What I don't get it that he's only going to spend $200 for 2-15" subs that nobody has ever heard of, then says that $1k for a kick-a** amp like the RF is a "rip off" ???

I'm not feeling the Sub choice, but if you want an amp that will push the hell out of them for cheap, get a JBL BP1200.1.

go to forum.sounddomain.com and search for volfenhag. Then come back and tell me they are killer subs. Still say that the JBL amp is bad a$$.

diamond audio 1200.1 -1200w@1ohm x 1 channel
i have my 2 dual 4ohm tdx's wired into this amp. parallel the subs independently, so that brings the impedence down to 2ohms each, then wire them straight to the DA amp, which accepts 2 +'s and 2 -'s. the inner circuitry of the DA amp parallels them down to 1ohm, which is stable, and will give you 1200w, or 600 per sub.

Don't these things sell on eBay for like 2 for $20.00. Seriously, I wouldn't label these things extreme. Now if you came on here talking RE XXX, MMATS Juggernaut, ID MAX, Inhuman, Kove Armegeddon, Brahma, etc. Then I might take this more seriously. But, I would say go with a D2 shredder, amp should last about as long as your subs. It will get really loud though.

There are plenty of used amps out there that will put out 1200 watts or more into the bridged load. And they can do it reliably for years for under $200. But what is the voice coil configuration? You said dual coils but gave no rating.

I have to agree with previous posts, the "Volfenhags" are no one near the "Extreme" level. Not to flame but more like the Extreme cheap level. Just my $.02. And please dont reply saying they are so great, my 16+ years in the industry tells me different.

Xtreme System, are you freaking kidding me...Get real, tell me when you are putting in 8 12's or 4 15's and need something like a VLX400 amp to run them.

Those JL 13.5's are some bad subs. Also, how much do you expect to pay for an amp to run these "extreme subs". How long have you been on the audio scene??????

For those extreme subwoofers I would settle for nothing less then an extreme amp such as the...

VOLFENHAG ZX7180

1600 WATTS OF POWER
2 OHMS STABLE
CHROME
MOSFET POWER SUPPLY
FAN COOLED
BASS BOOST CONTROL

I can get you one of these for about 150.00.. Great amp to match those great subs..

Go with the JL 1000/1 (which is what I have) or the JBL BPX1100.1 made by crown both are powerhouses.

Extreme is an adjective. Therefore it is appropriate to represent this persons view of their audio system. I see no reason to flame.

I have 2 alpine type-R 12's and 2 Rockford Fosgate 500s amps. Clear, LOUD and the whole setup was under $1000, including the box and a capacitor. Wiring was free with purchase(thanx Brian!)and i put it all in myself.
