What's wrong with my Bose?
All:
My Bose took a crap on me a couple years ago, and was replaced under warranty.
Now, the new Bose has taken a crap, and it won't even read my laser lens cleaner. It says "NO DISC" with every CD. I'm not sure if this is fixable or not, but I don't want to pay up for a new unit. Has anyone had this, and successfully remedied it? BTW, it's a 97 SE Bose CD/Cassette unit.
Perhaps it keeps crapping out b/c my car is Superblack with black leather. The wood trim is something else that has let go TWICE.
Thanks!

Same thing happened to my brothers '96 and a buddy's '97. Do you ply a lot of burnt CD's? They both did and the only thing I could deduce is the laser in the unit is not capable of repeated play of homemade cd's. My brothers worked for about a year and quit. I put my factory in his and no problems yet, although I don't think he plays as many homemade cd's either. This is not a absolute technical answer. Just an idea from my experience with it.
