i like this setup, im really feelin this
Just got some MDF board measured to the best of my ability and used a jigsaw to cut it out. I have my 12w7 attached to the car with hurricane brackets on each side and i screwed them in the side and attached them to the bolts on the floor.Put the extra MDF board under the box to level things out and strengthen where the trunk dips b/c of the spare. B/c its attached though it makes my whole car shake so i have to sound deadener the trunk.

Mine are just free-air, but I bolted mine directly to the sheet metal behind the seat with about fifteen 1/4" screws..

back seat drivers get a great massage when I do sine wave sweeps.
You can do the same with a regular box if you build it properly.

With this setup, I had the box bolted through the back to the sheet metal on the back of the seat. as well, the box went in before the amp rack and the amp rack held everything in place quite nicely.

This is the rear shot of the amp rack (from the trunk)

Amps:
Alpine M605 for the subs
Alpine MRV-345 for the Alpine 6 1/2" Componet Speakers in all four doors[/QUOTE]
My amp rack and box are actually seperate. I did it that way to make it to where I would not have to build it in the trunk itself. PM me if you have any questions.

This is my most current setup, and the one I'm going to keep for a LONG time. That one amp is powering the subs and is bridged to my front stage.
It's simple and clean, unobtrusive and practical, except for losing the ski pass-through.

I know, I know, wire loom...it's going to be partially re-wired once it gets a little warmer.

Yup it's an HX2 ....
Oddly enough the DLS was more suited for a sealed box even though all of its specs and info from
DLS recommend a ported one. I wanted to go ported and the hx2 sounds great in the ported
boxes I've tried it in. The DLS didn't fair as well even in a ported box built to DLS spec which
boggles my mind... so I had to stick with the tried and true HX2.
Might be goin to a
POWER HX2 along with whats in that box fairly soon
