I did read his previous posts, just some people on here making unnecessary comments. You could do whatever you want with the thread, you're the MOD not me so do as you wish. I was just making an observation since I do know him in person and knew he was the one who started this thread.

It looks like those are Memphis MCLASS Multi Sync speakers. (Not coaxial speakers like your typical two/three way speaker)

"The versatile speakers. MClass multi-synchronous components boast a unique design that allows installation of the tweeter either synchronous (nested on the same axis as the midrange speaker for minimal phase distortion) or separately (for enhanced imaging), without disassembling the speaker."

Pretty sweet set-up in my opinion.

Oh yeah, here's my trunk: Nothin fancy but it works for now.

Ricanprez1, just trim that excess carpet. Other than that, the setup looks great.

Trim? Looks like it doesn't even need to be trimmed, just glued in to the inside of the port.

Thanks, yeah there is no need to trim the carpet, just needs either some glue or staples and I'll be good to go.

Of all of the ported box builds I have been a part of, I have never left a flap or carpet or folded carpet over and glued it inside the port. Just a suggestion though.

I'd want the edge of the port to look nice, so I'd just leave 1/2" or something small juuust to get over the corner, then trim.

I have had this for about 3 months, but here are the pics. I did it all myself on a college budget...

The amps are not part of the sub box,

This is the rear shot of the amp rack (from the trunk)

Amps:
Alpine M605 for the subs
Alpine MRV-345 for the Alpine 6 1/2" Componet Speakers in all four doors

It really did not make that big of a difference. I think its because I have everything from the BOSE sub taken out. So I have a open hole that is idk...13x9in. I still have the BOSE cover tho, but overall it did not change everything that much. Only thing is that when you drop the seats, it doesnt change the sound at all.

How can anyone not get enough bass response from a 15"! Mine hits like crazy and I keep the sub level down to -2 most of the time.

The 6x9's REALLY hold back sound from entering the cabin, you'd be surprised. I have the same issue in my Alti with the seats up.

yah, in cabin response isn't as good with a baffle holding everything in the trunk. pop the trunk with the sub going...now that's a dif story. bass just pours out of the trunk.

True, I had forgotten, your in a sedan. I'm in an SUV. The entire interior acts like a sound tunnel which provide plenty of space sonically.

Audiobahn ABP12 800 Watts RMS 1600 Peak. Nothing special im still running it with the stock bose headunit.

I am running a MTX MXA8001 Mono block class d amp. that amp is crazy powerful, overkill for what im running but ill be upgrading the subs soon (2 alpine type r 12" in ported enclosure)

Subs are powered by a Mtx 81000d. Front and rears by an Orion 8004.
Saving to upgrade subs to either Rainbows or Flatlines.
