I dunno, theres not alot of good resources to go by on the internet, and most alarms sound cheap.... in my opinion.. Im most probably going to get an Autopage RS850LCD.. I havn't heard many bad things about it, plus I dont have $$$ to dish out for a clifford or viper.

Dun get the autopage, that alarm will give u a lot of trouble. One of my neighboor got it, everytime a car pass by it will set it off, heavy rain also. I dunno if u wana go through all that trouble. Save some money and get the Viper. U will be happy with it.

Viper definitely makes the best systems in terms of reliability, convenience, options, etc. But they get pricey. I got an Audiovox aps996. Its got everything the vipers have with remote start and a 2-way LCD remote, tells you the temperature of the car on the remote, etc. From what I hear, the reliability is close to the viper. With the bypass transponder (they call it astbm) and shipping it came out to less than 200.

Dunno if im bringing this thread back from the dead but I decided to go with the Clifford Matrix RSX 3.5... Autopage was still an option.. but... Clifford just sounds sexier :P
