not sure about 4th gens, but on my 3rd gen, the trunk lid is a major rattler.

License plate frames like most cars. Rear wing. But more important is covering the firewall. Especially if you have exhaust or intake mods. Then the floor and roof for road and wind noise. 3rd or 4th would e the doors and the rest of the trunk, maybe the rear deck 2nd or 3rd. Exact setup will make slight variations as to what rattles most or at the worst level and frequency.

Well I'm going to put Dynamat in the doors and I got a Dynamat Kit for the trunk. I was curious about the dynamat license plate, but then that would broadcast that I have a system in my trunk. Wouldn't it better to just cut pieces of a sponge and stick them behind the license plate & frame?

sponge or even some soft foam..its a lot easier (cheaper) than dynamat and does the job just as well
good luck!

I've actually attached dynamat to the back of my license plate and then screwed it back in. Worked great.

thanks ive got 50 sq ft of second skin when i get around to putting it in but i think my entire car is rattling i have alot of power in my trunk. a couple of bolts with a big sponge behind the lisence plate quited it right down.

i gotta get my dampener in before all the snow hits up here...oh wait that was today looks like ill need to invest in a good pair of gloves and then attack the rattling tommorow.

Roll the windows up and see if you still care about the license plate frame! I wouldn't use a spnge or you may have a problem when it gets wet and freezes. A solid rubber, silicone, silicone and sand or something of that nature would work better.
