INstalling Subs in 04 maxima

I just got a 04 SE with the elite and went to the car stereo shop to see if they could install subs in the trunk. They told me that they'd need some converter that they cant get to do it in order to convert the preouts into the bose subs into RCA's to run to my amp. Has anyone put aftermarket subs in a 04 with the elite package, and if so, how did you do it?

You probably would need the hi/low convertor, unless your car had a factory subwoofer, then you might be able to tap into the low level signal that the sub was using..

buy an amp with speaker level inputs and those inputs splice off of your current stock speakers and u do not need a converter or anything
