help me wire up my headunit to bose...

okay, so I got the deck from Don, and let me say this... he's one of the most best person to deal with and a GREAT help. He shipped me my deck earlier that I thought, and also i've been exchanging a bunch of emails with him on how to wire this thing up! I want to get some help from here to ease the load on Don lol... don't want to get him annoyed.

Okay, I have no problem removing the dash, splicing wires, or cutting things up. The plan is to NOT use the Bose adapter, as Don highly suggested, and connect the bose amps/speakers to the RCA preamps.

So right now I have the Pioneer Premier DEH-P550MP, 2 Metra wiring harnesses (one small, one wide), and antenna adapter.

The HU has wires coming out of the back of it... they're all labeled. So from what I understand, the only splicing I'll be doing is between the back of my headunit and the Metra harnesses. I wont be touching the Bose harnesses, right?

From what I see, all the power related wires will be twisted together between the Metra harnesses and the the wires coming out of the back of the HU.

I will then connect RCA male connectors to the speaker (+/-) leads that come out of the Metra harness. Once that is done, I will plug them in their respective RCA preamp jack.

Question: the blue/white wire coming out of the back of the HU is labeled "System Remote Control" and the blue/white wire coming from the Metra harness is labeled "Amp Turn-On". Are these the same?? Also, would I have to connect these together? I'm thinking yes since I will be using the bose amps/speakers if I choose to bypass the Bose adapter and go through the preamps.

Also, the Metra harness has a solid blue wire labeled "Power Antenna" , but I do not see a matching wire on the back of the headunit... is that wire suppose to connect to anything? I did buy the Antenna adapter.

Okay, thanks for any help or advice guys! I've tried to seperate each question and I'd greatly appreciate it if u can help me with some of em.

ive taking apart my dash and hooked up 3 different headunits to my system and i used the bose adapter i think u have to use it if u are keeping your bose speakers because tehy run at 1 ohm but anyway the power yes the remote turn on and the amp turn on have to be hooked up to eahc other and although we dont ahve power atenna that blue wire needs to be hooked up to the remote turn on as well in order to get good reception with radio on aftermarket headunits
