how many sq ft in 4th gen trunks

how many sq ft in 4th gen trunks

well the name says it all..... i plan on doing a sound dampening job on my car but i have no idea how much of a product i need ... any ideas?

Can't tell you exactly, but I've used about 45 sqft of E-dead so far on the inner and outter door panels (not the interior panel), the roof, A, B, & C pillars (from scraps), the stiffening plate and wheel well humps behind the rear seat, and a little around the rear deck. I guessed about 30 sqft for the trunk floor and sides and another 7-8 sqft for the lid. I need to order another 40 sqft to finish the job.
Check the C pillar carefully. I found there was a nasty buzz where the lower body meets the pillar/roof assembly. You'll find a overlap of sheetmetal with a few spot welds above the upper rear seatbelt mount. There is quite a gap between the two pieces. I filled the void with the HD Liquid nails (stays pliable after curing) and no more buzzzzzz.
