LCD monitor headrest install...cost?

I just purchased 2 Pyle 5 inch headrest LCd monitors. I go on a lot of road trip with my friends and thought that this would entertain them when they get bored. Instead of telling me to stop at every location on the way (when they get bored) I can shut them up with a DVD. Haha. Anyway, I was wondering what you think is a fair and reasonable price for an install. Let me know! BTW, yes I do have a DVD HU...Pioneer DVH-P7000. I got it for 300! A steal!

hey man it really depends on the shop you go to my friend just paid $250 to get 2 screens installed and all wired up. Call local audio/visual stores in your area and see how much they say.

Did $250 include the screens? Or just to install & wire?

I am guessing he meant just installed and wired. If he found 2 screens for 250 and that included install and wiring I would be majorly ****ed! Thats a bargain! But I know that isnt what he meant. I got my 2 screens for 109 each.

This small "mom and pop" car audio shop here in Los Angeles. I told a friend of mine (who is a big car audio expert) that I wanted a DVD system in my car and her recommended this place. He wanted 400 but I talked him down to 300. Thats the nice thing about small places like that, you can haggle.

Probably a stupid question but, how do you like it so far. Also does the illumination of the buttons change color. I changed all the leds in my dash to blue and want the blue screen and blue buttons. Thanks.

I have yet to install it and I will let you know ASAP. I got quote for about 70 for installing the actual HU. I made this post to find out a rough idea for the LCD install. I believe someone else here on this board has the same unit and has a pic of it illuminated on his cardomain site.

I saw a store demo of the ones that I have and I was happy with the picture. Not the very best out there but good.
