I recently purchased a used 98 Maxima w/o the Bose system and would like to just upgrade the stock speakers. I'm like to go with Polk since Circuit City has a good deal on them right now. My question is, on many sites such as Crutchfield, it says that the rear and front speakers are 6 3/4" but other sites have said 6 1/2"... Circuit City only sells the 6 1/2" speakers so would those be good for the front? Also, how difficult would it be to fit the 6 x 9" speakers in the rear? Thanks for any help.

6 3/4 and 6 1/2 both fit in the same size whole. IMO its not worth recutting your back seat shelve thing to fit 6 x 9's.
