bose removal harness?

I have the bose system in my 96', and I just put my after market head unit in and my amp and 2 10" subs. Of course the factory speakers are being amplified twice now, so I can't really hear the 10"s because of this. The guy at circuit city told me there is a harness they sell to take the boss amplifiers out of the circuit, has anybody done this? and how hard is it to do? I tried to search but it wouldn't work. Thanks for the help.

I believe what he's talking about is the harness takes the power away from the output on the HU and lets the amplifiers do what they did before. the only way you could take out the amps is to rewire, I think.

Thats all i've heard of a harness for a bose system, hope this helps
