will the 3rd gen Bose system fit in my GXE?

I was wondering if the premium Bose CD-player (from a 92-94 SE) will be a direct plug into my 93 GXE? A family member's SE recently died and I believe she had the premium Bose sound system (and CD player) and it would be really convenient if it can directly plug into my existing wiring harness/speakers/etc.

Does anybody know if this will be a direct fit? Are there any addtl. parts needed or am I better off going with a brand-new aftermarket stereo? My factory stereo (tape deck/tuner) is not working right.

If aftermarket is the better choice, what does everybody recommend for budget or mid-priced stereo?

Thanks in advance!

I do not believe that you will be able to use the Bose headunit in your car with it's current speakers.
