i am going to replace my factory 6 1/2" speakers but already replaced my bose stereo with a pioneer. i had to get one of those amplifier adapter (here) to hook up my pioneer to the factory speakers. should i take the adapter out once i hook up my new speakers? and how do i bi pass the amps when i go to install my new speakers? thanks

yes, you should remove the adapter since it's only meant for going to bose speakers.

When you install your new speakers you just gotta run new speaker wires from each speaker to the back of your head unit and crimp the corresponding +/- leads to the wires coming out of the head unit. I don't think you can use stock wiring with new speakers since there's other components in the bose setup (some sort of circuit board that's in a compartment near the speaker... I think it serves as a crossover?). I just took out all that stuff when I did mine.
