Steering Wheel Control Help

I'm installing the Pac-sxi or whatever it's called. The insructions go by ohms but I don't know which wire has which ohms. Does anyone have better instructions?!!

When it says to connect a wire to the resistor, what are they telling you to connect it to? Is my PAC SWI-X missing some parts?

IMO, take it to an installer. It will save u a whole lot of stress.

The SWI-X includes a little bag of resistors. It says use X ohm resistor on a wire and Y ohm resistor on another. The little bag also includes instructions on reading the color coded resistors to determine what ohm rating they have. If your SWI-X didn't come with this little bag in it, then either take it back to the dealer or go to Radio Shack or someplace and buy the resistors you need. They are real cheap, like pocket change cheap.

PAC SWI-X Resistors

I had the same question so I emailed PAC techsupport@go2pac.com Here's what they replied with:

47 ohm to Brn/Wht wire
150 ohm to Grn/Blk wire
560 ohm to Yel/Red wire
1000 ohm to Blu/Yel wire
1500 ohm to Red wire

FYI, I have a 2K1 Max with a 5 wire Steering Wheel harness.

Hope this helps.

Real easy. Accessory power, ground, and signal. The signal wire is the one you connect to the resistors and then to two wires behind the stereo (for 2k2). I mounted the LED in the steering column. Pictures.

can you get to the steering column through the dash? if not, how do i get to it?
and once i set it up, does it learn the functions by itself?
