Power invertor questions

Where is the best place to wire a power invertor from (4th gen) I heard that it is possible to hard wire it directly in to the wires that lead into the cig. lighter is this true or a good idea? or should i wire it to the battery directly?

Depends how "big" you inverter is. I think cig lighter limits it to 150-160W. I gues you could harwire it to cig lighter. Take apart the front console, play around with it. I would'nt recommend hardwiring it to the battery. What if you forget to turn the inverter off while something's plugged in? But then again, if you need more than 150W it's the only way to go.

I have my 400w inverter hardwired to my cig lighter. It only has a capacity of about 150w but I chose to wire it there. My ps2 is under my pass. seat and inverter is under my drivers seat. Just run the wire through the center console.
