Anyone using kick panels for there componets?

Was just browsing the web and noticed that there are some kick panels for my maxima. wanted to know if anyone here had them and what they thought about them. Worth it?

Kick panels are great. But to work properly they must be custom built for every car, every drver and every pair of components. There are too many variables to have a universal pair.

There are many maxima's with custom kick pods. Two in the DC metro region that I worked on.

If you want help with custom kicks contact Jason at the Installer Institute in Holly Hill Fl. He drives a 4th gen maxima and should be getting his car show ready now.

Server seems to be down right now so you may want to check back later.

Q-Logic makes kick panels for the 5th gens. I believe you have to do a little cutting here and there to get them to fit properly. I have some sitting in my garage that I plan on installing soon. If you're using them for midwoofers, then expect the bass response to be considerably less than the conventional door-mount installs...unless you do like Jmax suggested and go custom or seal them up yourself. I plan on using them for tweets and midranges. The mids are sealed and therefore don't need a sealed enclosure behind them.

i have q forms in my civic, and what they really do is help the imaging of my front stage. when my speakers were in the doors, since i am offset and sitting in the drivers seat, i mainly hear the left side speaker, while the passenger side wasn't heard much. with q forms, the sound stage is more centered, its great, but like Tony Fernandes said, you will lose mid bass, thats the main draw back (i used some $10 speaker baffles from metra to increase the midbass in my kicks).
also keep in mind that most q forms are made for 5 1/4" speakers, and SOME 6.5" speakers will fit.
i think the q forms are great for someone that wants better imaging for a decent price (they are like $150).
