redmax screen install... help

i got my screen earlier this week. I took my center dash apart... and I took out the bose headunit. Is it juts me or is it a REALLY REALLY tight fit to get the screen in there??

Since there are no installation papers that came with it, I am a little bit stumped. Is there any cutting/modification involved? I only figured out that thte back panel on the LCD needs to be removed to get it somewhat the right fit. Also, there'es no screws to hold the LCD in place? One of the metal bracket screws won't go in and now my deck underneath looks a bit crooked.

There's no way I can get the screen straight and still show the IR sensor... is this ok?

Just lemme know what you guys had to do for this... thanks.

mine just barely fit in there...real tight fit. stays in place and looks great. i have read that some people need to use a dremel and cut the sides off though... so that might fix it. good luck

No dremel tool is needed. Don't try to make the monitor totally in the center, if so the "eye" won't be exposed like you eluded too. The top of the monitor should be flush with the top of the dash piece. I made the same mistake at first and didn't leave the "eye" or IR exposed and the remote didn't work.
Back to the monitor fitmet, don't worry if the dash bows out, once you put everything back together you will not see it doesn't matter, it all works itself out.
