Calculating Cubic Feet for Sub Enclosures

I have seen a few posts where fellow .org members have inquired about calculating the cubic feet of a sub enclosure to coordinate with the subwoofer specifications of the subwoofer manufacturer. I will list a few examples.

12" H X 12" W X 12" D = 1728 cubic inches / 1728 = 1 cubic foot
17.5" H X 35" W X 8" D = 4900 cubic inches / 1728 = 2.84 cubic feet

Hopefully this will aid you with coming up with the needed demensions for your next sub enclosure design.
