anyone know where to get a good head unit cheap online??
my bose head unit recently went out on me and i need to replaace it fast... anyone know of a few good models of any brand that i can get online? also ive heard that i need some sort of convertor to keep my bose speakers.. where can i find this?? any help is greatly appreciated.. thanks
You don't need an FM modulator. Modulators are used to send signals to your h/u through FM radio reception.
etronics.com is a good site. I don't know how much you want to spend on the h/u but take a look at the Pioneer DEH-P5500. I just picked one of these up and it rocks; lots of features for the money.

oh wait, thezeb.com is really good, fast and free shipping.
I'm a fan of www.sounddomain.com, they're prices are decent, they have a lowest price guarantee, and they have good service too.
There are some stock HUs on ebay for your car and they run about $150 or so.
I had a Peripheral bose adapter and it was like $50 at Magnolia Hi Fi, but I have a 3rd gen. I have seen them on sounddomain for about the same price.
I personally recommend taking out the bose and going all aftermarket, but it is kind of expensive to do so.
