subwoofer wiring

subwoofer wiring

does anyone know how to wire a subwoofer so that the back of the woofer shows? i have dual 4ohm woofer. anyone have pics? thanks!

Not sure what you're looking for here. What do you mean by "so that the back of the subwoofer shows" ? Please provide more detail.

instead of having the rear of the sub face inside of the box, have it face the opposite way..

is it a bandpass box or a sealed or ported box? if i'm understanding your question correctly, all you need to do is position the sub however you want it, and put 8 screws in it

i know how to mount them backwards, im asking is there a particular way to wire them. cuz i heard if u mount subs backwards, u have to wire it so that subs hits the opposite direction.

no u dont have to wire it so it hits in the opposite direction, but if u wanted to do that, u can accomplish it by reversing the + and - wires.

IF your doing an "isobaric" or "clamsheel" setup with TWO subs, than the outer sub polarity needs to be reversed. If only one sub, then nothing different than if it was going inside the enclosure.
