AMP question- Rockford Punch bass gain ****

I have a RF 250a2 pushing my two12s and I was adjusting it today but have a question about their punch bass gain ****- If I lower it all the way, will that affect total output of the amp? Like say I have my bass on the deck at zero and I have the bass boost **** on the amp set at the lowest setting and I crank up the bass on the Headunit, will the amp still be pushing its maximum ammount? right now I have the bass boost turned half way.

not really, the bass **** is there to gives you up to 18dB boost at 45 Hz. It doesn't really affect the general output of the amp. i have a RF Power 451S pushing 2 HE tens. with the bass **** all the way down, i still have nice bass output. with the **** all the way to full, deeper frequencies tend to be more noticable, and everything in my car shakes
