Replace 5th generation Bose headunit
My bose headunit is going bad and it's already been fixed 4 times by the dealer, each time they just give me a refurbished unit. So I figured I would go out and buy a new one.
My question is, since bose uses 1 ohm and the headunit I want (eclipse) is 4 ohm, would the sound quality from the speakers and sub decrease or would I hear an increase in sound quality by changing the headunit?
Thanks

I think you use an adapter for aftermarket headunits... it adapts the aftermarket headunit outputs to the Bose inputs. I'm not entirely sure if the Bose inputs are 1 ohm, I think that's just the speaker's inputs (Bose uses a small amplifier between the headunit and speakers)

i bought that amp thing from best buy for 45 bucks but it ended up not working at all so i went to wal-mart and found one on sale for 12 bucks. sounds pretty good o and i lost the receipt on the one from best buy so i'm screwed.
