alpine type r 10" questions...

hey guys, i was thinking about getting two alpine type r, and i was wondering if 250 for a pair is a good price. I also would like to know what's the difference between the SWR-1041D and SWR-1021D, i'm a car audio newbie so forgive me for any stupid questions. I still haven't picked an amp for them yet, so i was wondering if there's any amps in $200 range that would do the job. Also would 1 10" and a better amp sound better than two 10's with a $200 amp. Thanks alot for the info.

PS. i'm going to run them from my stock nonbose HU with a line-out converter

get a jbl600.1 and 2 type r 10, 2 ohms which are the 1021d and you are set. put them in a sealed box. jbl amp should be 189 and the type r's should be $200 for both, plus shipping for the amp/subs.

is the jbl600.1 amp that you talking about BP600.1? since it's 600W@2ohms would i hook my two 2ohm subs together, and then the wattage would just be 300x2 and the total resistance would stay at 2ohms for the subs as well?

yes, its that amp. its 600x1 @1,2 ohms. if you get 2 10" dvc 2 ohm subs and run them in series it comes out to 2 ohms which =600 watts= 300 watts per subs, which will be perfect.

I just bought two 10" Type Rs (1041s) for something like $210 from www.bestpriceaudiovideo.com (which included shipping). Plus they're an authorized dealer for Alpine gear. If you decide to go with ebay, be careful as most of the sellers charge $30-$40 for shipping.

Here they are for like 115. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...facturerID=611

Get a hifonics amp. Good power and not very expensive.
