will this cold weather hurt my sub?
Since it's been below 0 for a few days, I am wondering if it's going to do any damage to my subwoofer (I have a Basslink). I always let the cabin of the car warm up before I turn the stereo on and the rear deck is ported so I assume the trunk isn't much cooler than the cabin, but this morning I noticed that the subwoofer volume seemed very low regardless of how much I turned the ****. Am I in trouble?

But the reason the sound was lower then usual is because the surround of the woofer which allows the sub to move in and out freely hardened up from the cool weather, making the woofer more stiff, and unable to meet its full excursion.. That would be my guess..
