i'm been reading about all of you guys getting monitors in your max, and i'm probably getting one also next month, but i was wondering if somebody has tried mounting a reverse camera somewhere on the back of the car, and hook it up to the lcd, like the new lexus has. I think you can mount it under the break light on the spoiler, but would it be possible to run the wire throught the spoiler and into the car? i have a 4gen by the way.

I know the Q45 has the reverse camera and it is mounted next to the license plate. It can definitely be done, you just have to find the right screen/camera/connectors.

this is a good idea i would just worry about winters and getting snow/salt on the camera, also the threat of someone stealing a camera off your car

i think that's a great idea. i've thought about doing it to mine, but i have no idea where i'd get the camera. i aint worried about the snow because i live in texas, and i aint worried about someone stealing it because i'd hide it really well and i don't think anyone would even know what it was anyway.

My friend's dad just bought an MDX and it has the reverse camera. It is a real cool toy, but not very necessary. It might not be worth the money. If you can get a good price, go for it, but don't go spending a lot on it for just backing up. Just my $0.02
