HU install questions with bose and recommend me a new HU

93 maxima se with bose. The original head unit is going down the ****ter, the display hasnt worked for 6 months and now it wont eject the cd or tape. Looking to buy a new one. First installation questions:
I bought this car used about a year ago and two of the screws that hold the brackets to the head unit are stripped. So, where can I get new mounts online? does crutchfield sell them? I saw this converter at crutchfield, but how would i get those wires to the RCA outs on the new head unit? Also since I am going from a 2 din hu to 1 din, where can I get one of those pockets that go under the stereo? This is so I can put my ipod somewhere besides under the e-brake (and asthetics).
Which brings me to the new head unit itself:
Looking for something under 300, preferablly from a reputable place like crutchfield. This is my first foray into car stereo at all, and all I know is that alot of people have alpine and rockford/fosgate stickers on their cars. AUX input is a MUST. Have to have my iPod Front or back doesnt matter; I could drill a hole in the pocket below the stereo if I need to. MP3 is a bonus, but not nesseccary (see iPod). Detachable face a must (near a bad neighborhood).

Anything else you can think that I would need besides the mounting kit, wire converter and the diversity antenna converter?

i bought my pioneer DEH-P4400 from Etronics.com for $115. I saw it on crutchfield for $199. I didn't spend the extra $$ to buy the ones with graphical displays.
