Has anyone ever tried the dynamat spray? Is it any good, or am I better off with the matting?

you mean dynashield? it has paint spray like consistency, its garbage, dont bother with it, they gave that crap away for free at my local shop.
get the proper matting, dynamat or one of alternative, they are all better than dynashield.

How much weight does dynamat add?

i think a dynamat bulk pack weighs like 20lbs (maybe a little less), so its not much, but it depends on how much you put i guess.
