I was wondering if i could get let's say for example Pioneer cd-player and replace it with my factory bose cd/cass player in my 95 max gle? I don't want to change the speakers cuz they are awsome with my 2 rockford 10"'s. i just want new cd player with sub out to get just the lows from my subs and i am tired of bose. i want something new. is there any way to change the head unit to work with the existing bose speakers. any help will be appreciated....

I'd do a search on this. From what I remember (and I may be wrong) is that the Bose Speaker sonly work with the Bose head unit.

Kinda

They do only work with the bose but you can get a OEM integrator for like 50 from crutchfield or Circuit City might have it. The guy there told me i would have to rewire my whole car and i laughed at him and walked out. If you get one don't worry about getting one with a big internal amp, the integratot basically cuts it out.

Re: Kinda

hmmm, ive heard this question alot on the board so when it came time for me to scrap my bose head unit (which is a must if you want to start creating any good system) i have a 94 GXE w/bose so i decided to figure out on my own cause everyone i asked gave me a different answer. so i put in a sony HU and a pair of pionner 10s in and left the whole bose as is and it works even better than before. it sounds great. ive had it in for 2 or 3 months and it has not caught on fire or blown everything and it works fine. i love the way it sounds. so i dunno..... all i did was buy a wiring harness from circut city. so good luck....it seems to work for me anyways
