what do you think about this setup?

I have a 98 with bose in it now. These are my plans:

Alpine 7893 hu
Alpine 6-disc cd changer
JL XR650csi components up front (tweeters in stock location)
JL XR650cxi coaxials in the rear
eventually ~300w amp (75 to each corner) when I have the cash, not sure of brand

The headunit and changer can't really be changed as I already bought them off a friend and got one hell of a deal (150 for the pair) so just wondering about the speaker choices I guess.

later when I have the cash, I'm thinking just one 8 or one 10, nothing big.

Are you from [H] or [M] by any chance?

a sub is not a requirement. listen to that setup first and if you decide to help the low end out a bit, add a sub.

IMO a sub is a requirement lol but that's just me.

You'd love a single 10, a SQ woofer would give you a very sharp setup!
