Anyone know anything about a Line Driver?

I have a 7.2" screen in my dash and I placed the DVD player temporarily in the arm rest and a Panasonic DFX938U head unit. I got my Pyle PLDVD99 DVD player at a pawn shop brand new, but with no remote. I am having the harderst time finding a remote to use all of the functions. When I am playing a DVD the volume is really low even when I turn the HU all the way to 40 (highest setting). One of the local shops here told me that I need a line driver (no clue what that is). I have been to Circuit City and Best Buy looking for it and had no success. Does anyone know what a line driver is or may have a Solution to my volume problem? Will finding a remote solve all of my problems?

a line driver increases voltage pre-outs...I have an EQ for sale with line drivers built in...

its practically brand new-Pheonix Gold eq215i model which is 15bands each side and is very very good in terms of not only increasing your volume but also shapes audio soo much better

It hooks up to your HU and then to your amp

let me know if you might be interested..it retails for $400

Are you using your aux in for your dvd player or are you just using an fm modulator? I somehow doubt voltage is your problem. Could you explain how everything is hooked up?

Okay, so your dvd player is running to your deck through aux in. Do you have your speakers running off of deck power? Or are you running your speakers off of an amp?

You can get a line driver from David Navone. He and Richard Clark pretty much wrote the book on the uses of a line driver as well as almost everything else in car audio.
