mtx 6532 speakers

I just bought a pair of mtx 6532 6.75" speakers and after installing the right side, I balanced and faded so I could just hear that one, then I switched it over to the factory left speaker and it sounded better (louder, more bass) than the mtx. So then I put in both mtx's in the front, and listened to the difference in the front mtx's and the back factory speakers. The factory speakers sounded better. My maxima has no bose system! I figured maybe its because I still have the factory radio.....and ideas??

stock speakrs are designed to run of 15-20 watts from a stock deck

if you underpower aftermarket speaker they will tend to be quiter then the stocks

you gotta get a new deck or amp the mtx speakers

those mtx have a very low sensetivity. i think its like 87db or around there. with a low 15-20Wrms from a HU amp you won't get too much sound out of them. i would recommend feeding them as close to their rms as possible. on my mtx subs, they hardly make any noise at 1/2rms but with full power they are loud...way too inaccurate though...not bad for $35 a piece though. just get some clean watts to those and you should be happy. i recommend an mtx thunder 282 amp. 70Wx2rms ar 4ohm should do the trick.

i have 2 T61244A subs. they are gret for the price i paid, but they are certainly not worth the $149 retail price tag. I stand by mtx for their amps though. they make some of the best amps out there.
