i think just the aesthetics were change, should still function like any other L7

aesthetics changed as well as the power handling. Sound wise is basically the same.

im surprised they went from that understated design to this flashy ****. o well. (yea i know the square thing is already sort of flashy)

yup yup but i think they were selling pretty well so far based on just the name, they didnt need flashy looks and crap for their first many many years in the business. oh well, marketing is a percentage of sales so they must be on the right path

yup their round subs were amazing, isn't amazing how rockfords quality dropped so severely in the past 5 - 7 years? their amps are crap now, they basically just sell off of quantity and name

I dont think he meant it to offend anyone, but rather referring to the quality they once were. I would also have to agree with him. RF was once one of the most sought after companies on the market. This is going back about 9+ years. They have slowly became more of a "mainstream" line. Not bottom of the bucket, but definately not the "High-end" equiptment they once were.

I have a 12" S12 in my garage filled with nails/screws....
great sub ....never had the pleasure of hearing it in a vented box though....
