The following equipments is top be used:
Sony xplod 404eqx Amp (4 channel)
POlk MOmo's 6.5" components(front)
POlk DX6 (Rear)
Which of the following scenarios is better:
1. Front POlks momo's run by amp at 100watts each with rear DX6 run by 45w headunit.
2. front momos and rear dx6's run by amp at 55w per channel
My thought was that since the amp's 55W is MUCH better than the 45W of the headunit, i think the best is scenario 2 with the amp running all 4 at 55w each. This sound good? This is not for a VW, so dont worry, just wondering on configuration. THANX. Also, Where do people usually put the crossovers?

How much rear fill do you like? If you tend to have the fader towards the front anyway, put your amp power there, otherwise run it like a normal 4-channel setup. There's also no way a headunit is putting out 45W/channel, probably more like 10-15, but unless you like a lot of music coming from behind you, it should be enough.
Unless you want to get fancy and mount the crossovers in the front doors/footwells somewhere, just put them on the amp rack.
