tv tuners are in essance rabbit ear antennas for your car's tv... so they will pick up anything that you can pickup that is broadcast, usually NBC, ABC, FOX, and CBS... soemtimes PBS

i got a power acoustik tv tuner in my car. you just get the normal channels like the ones listen above. you just need to hook up a power and ground cable then hook up the antennas.

I heard you have to be in the same spot for a little while to get perfect reception

The tv tuners are pretty much a waste of good money. They will pick up some local channels, but in certain areas. As posted above it is like rabbit ears for your home TV, the only difference is your home tv doesnt move. You will not get a good picture while driving unless your basically right under the tower and stay there.

....spoken from alot of experience take it for what its worth

Which one did you get for $23? It's not too bad when you're parked but as Don said you won't get good reception when the car is in motion.
