anyone know why the pioneer avh-p7500 wont play vcds?

anyone know why the pioneer avh-p7500 wont play vcds?
according to all the descriptions it supposed to play video cds but no matter what type of disc i use or how i burn it, the audio skips around but the video plays fine... any ideas?
