What parts are needed to install video in a max?????

Hi guys, im about to start a new project for the maxima which involves me putting in a 7.2 inch screen in the dash and hooking up my ps2. what id like to know is what are all the parts needed to connect everything. How would i go about powering up the ps2 which has a connection for the house.
so far i have a cd player with aux inputs, ps2, and will order redmax's tv by the end of today. please let me know what else o may need.

Oh and somebody give me recomendations on where to install ps2, id like to put it somewhere that wont get to hot, and no one can see, anybody have any pics????

I believe you'd need a power inverter to power the PS2.

ok, i going to see about the inverter and search for a place to get a cheap one, is there anything else i may need.

When i hook up my monitor and ps2 will it be on all the time or will it shut off with the car. i plan on using the power wire which is hooked up to my cd player, is that a wise descicsion or what should i do.

id say no.. IMO id run a new (fused) line from the battery to power those accessories...maybe a 10awg wire..the inverter should be wired to this new power wire and the PS2 hooked up to it...im not sure if the max has room in the glove box for a PS2...but maybe something like this would work: http://jerk.lxanyc.com/moms%20car/DV...love%20Box.JPG

I am not clear on this one...Will you be using the power wire from the CD player to power your PS2 or your Monitor? If you are just powering your monitor then you will be ok with the radio power wire, but you have to run at least a 10 gauge wire from your battery to power the PS2.

You want to run a fused line from the battery to the inverter. You will be powering the PS2 from the inverter. For the monitor it depends on which kind you get. Easiest thing to do would be to power it from the inverter as well, unless you want to splice into some power wires. With both powered by the inverter all you have to do is flip the switch on the inverter when you startup and turn off the car.

ok i gotcha guys. i thanx you so much for the help, the tv im getting is just a basic 7 inch monitor the auction says it uses 8 watts and if its true i dont think it would overload the power source. I will run the wire for the ps2 pwer inverter as you guys mentioned. Where can i pick up a power inverter, is it something hard to find???? Thanx so much for the help guys i really appreciate it

does anyone have any nice install or finished pics of their set up?/?

This wouldnt be a good idea being the monitor is 1V and the invertor is there to provide 110V.

don't u mean the monitor is 12 VDC (not 1V) and the power inverter supplies 110VAC

lol i'm kidding

anywho, do not connect a 12V monitor to a power inverter's output, that is just silly
