DEI 530t window module dipswitch settings. help...

I just installed my new viper 791xv alarm. Now I am installing the window modules 530t. There is a setting on the side of the module for the amount of force to roll the window up with. Just wondering if anyone else has installed these and what their settings are?

Thanks - The Chad

Not sure about the 530T, but I had the 529T which only controlled the windows one way--up or down. I would try all settings and see what happens. Pick the one with the less strain on the motor.

Turn them up to maximum force. There is alot of friction in most Nissans windows. Also make sure you have the shortest possible, as well as perfect Ground.

i installed 2 of these in my car. One for the front two and one for the back two windows. Turn all the switches up for the highest resistance.

as far as keeping the wires short, i have wires ran from the back two doors all the way around to my centersole with NO problems what so ever.

enjoy you one touch up/down windows!

I'm gonna go with ny96max on this one. I was planning on doing both window modules in the drivers door so I wouldn't have to run wires through all 4 door jams, just into the drivers. I also got another 10 guage wire from my battery just for the modules so they will have plenty of untapped power. Can't wait to install these....windows up and down from the remote...hehe.

Also got the 513t pain generator for my alarm and put it in my air vents. MAN that thing is loud!

I was referring only to the ground wire being short. It can be longer, but there have been problems in the past with proper grounding.

Indecisive, I do not recommend doing them in the doors, too much moisture.

may i also add to this that you do NOT need to run to the rear doors for them to work. you can tap a signal off the drivers and passengers kick panel for both rear windows. the front windows, you will have to run into the doors. it's time consuming, but it's worth it. now try gettin the sunroof to work. i got it to open up fully when i arm ( ), but now to get it to close.
