Sub and Amp Advice

I have a RF 6.5 Fanatic P Component in the front and RF 6.5 Punch in the rear.

Im almost positive im going to replace my Sony head unit w/ either the Kenwood or Eclipse double din.

Im looking more power, but not "stupid loud." I want it to sound really good. I was wanting to get a 12' Kicker Square or a 15'.

What sub would you suggest, and what amp would you suggest?

Also would I need to run an amp to my door speakers??

Thanks for your help.

no way. you would get better output from a JL 12w6v2 with half the power that the kicker needs, higher power doesnt always equal better output. remember that.

I would go with the Kicker L7's. JL is overpriced. You could buy two Kicker L7 10's for the price of one JLW612. I have heard both. While the W6 12 was very clean, it couldn't even come close to the output of the Kicker L7 10's. They were both in the same vehicle and used the same amp. JL is also proprietary(sp), you would need to drop even more cash for one of thier amps that are best suited to thier subs. I say save the cash and go take your parents or significant other out to dinner with what you saved.

If you want some great advice, use some sites like termpro.com. Some of the people there have experimented with tons of different equipment.

If you still can't decide, find someone who has what your looking for and have a listen. Even though I liked the Kicker subs better, you might not.

Either way good luck and have fun!
