Quick Answer-4 headunit channels into 2
#1
I was just wondering how it would sound if I put 2 channels of my headunit into each front speaker then used a 2 channel amp for my rears. It would be more power, but would it be too distorted from the low-quality headunit amp? Has anyone done this?
thanks,
PJ

you will only mess up things..
most head units aren't designed to have channels bridged, or shorted together.
your best bet is to put an amp on your fronts and just run headunit power to your rears..
that's unless you've got something decent in the back deck and you don't really care where the sound comes from.. then just dump as much power onto the rear deck as you want to get your volume.
if you want it to sound best, you need to hook the amp to the front speakers though.
