Reverse Camera in trunk key hole

Hey --

anyone done this mod?

if you have, what camera did you end up picking?
how did you decide to attach it?
do you care that the camera isn't centered?

Thanks!

why not somewhere close to the bumber, like by the license plate? I dunno, you're lighter years ahead of me...I'm just starting to buy my components, amps and sub...the visual end hasn't surfaced yet... good luck

I have it...its cool to have if you have the microvision in your console. It doesn't make backing up any easier because of the height of the keyhole, but on the highway if nobody is directly behind you it look cool. You can also see when someone is tailgaiting you. I got my camera from some off-brand company that was advertising on Ebay...Its was like $45

this sounds interesting
what im curious about is being that the microvision only has 1 rca video input, what do you guys use to switch between different video inputs on the screen, such as camera, dvd player (or head unit that plays dvd)...even navigation...
i was thinking something similar to the switch boxes people use for xbox/ps2 etc etc..with 4 ins and 1 out.
any suggestions?

Sleepymaxx, you could mount a camera externally almost anywhere... the keyhole is just a great space. Think about it, you have a nice roung opening for your lense. I'm thinking one wide angle night vision there and one in the front. I'll add it to my wish list
