Which AMP for 12' Kicker L7 (2004 Model)?

What does everyone think would best suit this sub?? Best quality and all around sound, not so much loudest......but best quality sound.

I dont like how some cars have that "stupid loud" and there trunk is all rattling. I want it too sound good.

I have RF Componet P in front and RF Punch in back, plan on gettin either Kenwood or Eclipse Double Din. Would I also have to run an amp to my RF's?????

Also when installing the sub, does it make it sound better if you put it facing the windshield right against the back seat. So you can pull down the backseat to expose the sub?? It seems like that would give the sound more places to go. Just seems like to me if you put it in the trunk, it would just make it rattle.

Thanks for your help!

do you mean which sub box? for sq id say go with a sealed box for the l7. and usually when the sub is facing the trunk is when you get the most spl. but experiment in your trunk.

You can get more output from that sub in a ported box, but it takes up a lot more room. Sealed will probably be the most accurate sound. Best SPL will probably be if you face the sub forward at the seat opening and seal that area off where the sound goes only into the cabin. Otherwise, try pointing the box in different directions. Many cars sound best with the sub firing toward the very rear of the car, giving the wave more time to mature, by the time it has gone to the back and reflected to the front of the car.

There are a ton of good amps for this application. What is your price range?

About 300 or so, maybe a little more if it would make that big of difference.
