preferred fuse location in a 4th gen for AMP?

preferred fuse location in a 4th gen for AMP?

hey there --

any preferred places to attach the fuse + fuse holder for the power wire of the amp?

btw, I know that the fuse needs to be 12"-18" from the battery.

Then you already know the answer. You can attach it to just about anything with either wire ties or velcro tape. Or even make a holder for it and secure it with screws. BTW, that fuse is for the power wire not the amp. Without it or with a fuse too large that wire could burn in half and start a fire. I have an old 4 gauge wire that I "burnt" in half one time. I can't imagine what it looked like or how hot it got under the hood for it to happen, but it can and does.

ok, but, you mean it's for the power wire to the amp, right?
that is, the amp's 4ga. power wire to the battery gets the fuse...

yes, it needs to be less than 18" away from the battery... under the hood to be exact

I've seen a power wire where the fuse was at the back of the car. It was not pretty. I'm surprised his car didn't catch on fire or at least fry all the other wires running down the side of the car. Stick close to the battery.
