Cross-over placement in a 4th gen

hey there --

I want to mount my crossovers for my front component speakers
inside the car cabin, prolly behind the "kickplate" closest to the doors.

Is this cool?
Does the crossover have to be near the speakers?
Is it OK if the crossover wires are bundled together and then fed to the components?

Or, do you have a better idea? Where's your crossover mounted?

THANKS!

Just installed mine yesterday. Kickpanels are the way to go.

mine are in the kickpanels also. i have kicker k65.2 components, and if you've ever seen them, the crossover is massive, but it fits...
