Bose experts step in.

Ok, my question is in regards to Bose car audio in general. My brother-in-law has a 2000 Escalade and recently his CD player is making some sort of skipping sound, but the CD is not skipping itself. He also has a 6-disc in the console between the front seats. When you play a CD from the changer, you get the same thing. I don't have Bose in my Maxima, so I haven't been able to figure it out. To me, it seems like there is a problem with the head unit. Any thoughts?

That's just what he's going to want to hear. This thing's been to the dealership 4 times in the last year for charging system issues and its out of the warranty now.

did u try lens cleaning cd's? it could also be that there is something wrong in the connections to the speakers from the amps/wiring. if there is a loose connection that is near the amps or something it could cause a skipping sound as the speakers go in and out of amplification
