Can this Be made STICKY???

I recently installed the REDmax microvision screen and a pioneer dvh-p7000 h/u nad I couldn't find any specific information on wiring and tuning for the BOSE system and the integration of a new head unit in place of the BOSE one.

So here it is:

Needed:

Nissan maxima wiring adapter- I got mine at Walmart-7 bucks
(link to it on Crutchfield)- http://www.crutchfield.com/S-k3CxMuO...=1&cc=01&avf=Y

----or you caould try this all one adapter from crutchfield: I used the above harness and a unit I got from bestbuy 50 bucks-same type of thing. (Link to the crutchfield one)
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-k3CxMuO...=1&cc=01&avf=Y

Antenna Adapter-I needed it for my 97-- I got mine at wal mart for 7 bucks(Link at crutchfield)http://www.crutchfield.com/S-k3CxMuO...=1&cc=01&avf=Y

Lots of Male and Female connectors. makes installation clean and easy to fix if you happen to mis-wire something.

I was having a problem when I wired the 50. dollar adapter up with the speakers all shutting off when I'd accelrate hard or turn on headlights then off or put a window up etc.. So I just ran the power wires direct from factory adapter harness to the new h/u harness and that solved the problem.

Next I started the car and tuned the gain adjustment---Nice thing about the typical buzzing you can find somtimes is the s/c whine makes this unnoticable. although mine is'nt buzzing now that wired the power wires directly and made sure the ground good --I used one of the e-brake bolts, because a frined told me you need to be atleast 6 inches away from the source witht the ground.

Good luck hope this helps other people with Bose Head Units that wanna replace them.

crewchief, this isn't a breakthrough or anything hundreds of Maxima owners are questioning...

this is simple nonvehicle specific stuff that would be found on possibly any car audio forum, no sticky needed.

explain "crewchief", were/are you in aviation?

Yea thanx!!!!

I wrote this thread for one purpose only and I have found the sarcastic replies very annoying and WHY?????

I did search other installer forums and couldn't come up with any set in stone Maxima Bose installing advice. So... I felt for the other Bose Maxima owners that wanted to attempt this themselves would appreciate this specific vehicle advice. also I bought the gain box at best buy because i wanted it right now and I didn't see one at the wal mart.

I was worried about installing my specific h/u and having noise or popping, or posibly damaging a very expensive amp/speaker package. Based on my training and experience it is always better to study and read on something that you haven't done and know what your getting into before you start.

to answer the crewchief question.

Yes I am a crewchief on F-16c vipers. I have been for 5 years and between that aircraft training and how to be safe and prevent damage is why I am so methocical about planning before modding. It was the same way with my s/c install, I spent months reading and understanding the specific stillen kit and how to do the install. And it turned out great except I found the factory pump sux, when boosted and the aux pump is a bad idea also.

if you could figure out a way to get a bose head unit to hook up to an aftermarket amp without nonsense noise then you'd get your sticky.
