Help me build my system

Right now I have the stock non-bose system. I bought a Pioneer DVH-P5000MP headunit to go with my microvision screen. Now I need components, sub(s), and amplifiers. Not sure if i should keep the stock rear speakers or go w/ some coaxials in the back. I know nothing about car audio. My budget is a rough 1000 dollars. I know it's not a lot to work with, but hopefully you guys can put together something decent for me to work with.

you could go with some nice pioneer coaxials. the REV series are amazing i have them in the rear... soon to remove my fronts for a set as well. they can be run off the headunit and still sound great. they cost about 250-300 for 2 pairs unless you get them from ebay or online. for a sub i would suggest one 10 or one 12 with a 250 - 300 watt RMS amp. some that come to mine are diamond m3 subs, relatively inexpensive, and very nice. also maybe an alpine or mtx amp would fall into the budget.

if you already have a h/u $1000 is plenty for a nice system.
